Old Palace Resort Sahl Hasheesh ★★★★★

The resort is well established, and it is right in front of the bus station! Staff was really friendly and helpful And best thing about the place was the beach, sandy and quite :)

Maintenance issues

Wonderful view and lovely beach, with beautiful gardens and friendly staff. Food was absolutely great, and the value for money was excellent. We had a great time with our usual waiter, Mohamed Atya, who always took great care of us!

The coffee from the machines was made with instant coffee so it was very poor. Also, the "Brazilian night" at the à la carte restaurant was disappointing... Better eat at the regular restaurant where the food is much more diverse and better!

The hotel, the beach and its surroundings are nice and clean. The rooms were always meticulously cleaned. The food menu was varied and tasty. Mr. Ahmed Mohamed the resturant manager was very welcoming and he went above and beyond to make our stay amazing.He is an intelligent and educated man and does his job conscientiously and professionally. Same for the reception team especially Mr. Wael We will be happy to come back to the hotel again.

Location of Hotel , rooms nearest beach and pool,and beach is suitable for use with amazing view ,Parking is good .

Beds is not comfort ,Shisha is very bad there and you need to go out to any other place for shisha ,also no variety in mini bar snacks .

All the staff was helpfully pleasant and and always smiling. The food was excellent and very diversified for all tastes and moods.

Food in the buffet restaurant was very good. Rooms were spacious and clean. Pools were lovely. View from the room was fantastic. Great service from Ayman and Khalid on reception, nothing was too much trouble for them and we much appreciated the free upgrade to a junior suite which was unexpected. Great holiday.

The Animation team were lazy and didn't bother to talk to us or let us know about any entertainment, in fact it was as if we were invisible. Any entertainment we did see was very poor.

The first impression was very good with the help and friendliness of the reception staff. Everythig was well taken care of, amenities were very good, room was very good, acess to the beach, and walking distance to the future new center in Sahl Hasheed. Excellent

I did not like the food. For a 5-star resort, even if in the mode of food for masses (as it is normal in the resorts of the red sea), even though there was abundant choice of salad, food, desserts, the quality was under-achieving for a 5-star

The Hotel Has a good Location, sandy beach with some corals so it was nice staff was very friendly especially the animation team like Ahmed. food is fine Restaurant is large and even the hotel was fully booked but i always found a place

The Hotel House keeping wasn't that very good the beach seats are not enough so the beach is often full Brazilian restaurant food wasn't tasting good Foreign staff doesn't speak English The whole amount of the stay was deducted before arriving and i wasn't notified about that at booking or in Hotel Regulations

The pool was great. The beach was excellent. The variety of food was good

Old tv sets. Not all the food was tasty. No slippers and robe in bathroom. Staff was helpful but needs more training.

It is small and at the same time it as everything you need in it.

That there is one place for the towels on the pool and you need to make one on the beach

1- Staff was very good they all smile , especially the manager of the restaurant was really kind and professional. also receptionists 2- food was awesome delicious and buffet was really big and nice 3- beach is nice and sandy ..may be the only one sandy beach in this area though 4- Room service were perfect and good timing always ( no one was waiting tips)

i didn't like : 1-Animation activities was under expectation and behavior of guys should be reviewed by hotel ( without mentioning details) 2- Corridors are just Ceramic which doesn't give the impression that you are in 5 stars hotel as i used to see . 3- Rooms was very nice and big and bathroom was clean but still using curtains in showers and curtains looked old and not 100% clean . i think most hotels worldwide started to stop using curtains in showers 4- the culture of some tourists ( without mentioning the country those tourists from ) to reserve places on the beach all day and night just by putting towels and small personnel belongings and they are not on the beach .. I recommend that the management of the hotel should interfere to stop this behavior as they stopped them in other countries i have been ..( If tourist not on the beach then towels and all personnel staff should be removed immediately)

at old palace sahl hasheesh , hospitality is very warm its nice services and the personal is excellent also the location is very special , for who seeking relaxing , chilling and sports is perfect

This is my first stay in Old Palace Sahl Hasheesh . I love Sahl Hasheesh and came here on day trips while I was staying in Gouna but this time I decided to stay in Sahl Hasheesh not just visit for a day trip . At the beginning the hotel decided to pamper us with an upgrade to a superior sea view room. The room was nice and clean ; not too big yet not small . The bed was amazingly comfortable and the sheets were clean. The hotel has 2 pools and is directly on the beach . There are various restaurants in the hotel that serve Italian , Brazilian steak and snacks . In addition there is the main restaurants that serves breakfast , lunch and dinner. I had the half board package . The breakfast had a good variety of cheese , cold cuts , bakeries and much more. The dinner at the hotel is very good; they served a variety of dishes that suits everyone ( grilled fish , steak , grilled liver , turkey , mashed potatoes , lamb , ........) Sahl Hasheesh is a small area and all hotels are next to each other and they have this pathway connecting all hotels together and it is nice to have a night walk or rent a bike to ride on this path way . The hotel is not far from a super market and a pharmacy . I see this hotel is a value for money and a very good choice to stay at Sahl Hasheesh ( food , accommodation , service , location , ......) Some points for improvement : 1.Breakfast should have more varieties ( bacon , scrambled eggs , more cold cuts & cheese varieties , chicken sausage , .... ) 2.Dinner time must be earlier ; 7 PM is too late as usually dinner in other hotels start from 6 or 5:30 PM . ( everyday many guests were dressed and waiting from 6:30 PM in hotel lobby for dinner ) 3.The Stage where there are daily shows is located near the rooms and usually the noise reaches the rooms ; in case some guests want to sleep early ( specially on arrival day ) it will not be easy .

Some points for improvement : 1.Breakfast should have more varieties ( bacon , scrambled eggs , more cold cuts & cheese varieties , chicken sausage , .... ) 2.Dinner time must be earlier ; 7 PM is too late as usually dinner in other hotels start from 6 or 5:30 PM . ( everyday many guests were dressed and waiting from 6:30 PM in hotel lobby for dinner ) 3.The Stage where there are daily shows is located near the rooms and usually the noise reaches the rooms ; in case some guests want to sleep early ( specially on arrival day ) it will not be easy . I recommend providing ear plugs for rooms near the stage or adjusting stage schedule to finish at 9 PM . 4. The black out curtain in the room should be thicker or of better quality to reduce the amount of sunlight that enters the room .
